No kidding - ever disassembled a Keihin carb that has a bunch of Philips head screws in it? They're inevitably stuck in there and you can't apply enough torque to break them loose without an impact screwdriver. Last time I did that, I ended up replacing every Philips head screw I removed with a stainless steel Allen head bolt.

No E36 M3.

I built 3 Mikuni TMX carbs over the weekend. Not a single one has any Philips screws left it it. If you have to use a machine screw, use a Robertson head. I replaced them all with plated socket caps.

Anyway, it's 2014. Who doesn't have a torx set in each one of their boxes? I had to disassemble a throttle body yesterday, but couldn't find mine. So I used one of my backup torx sets.
