Automatic makes it very easy to swap a L33 from a 2wd full size chebby. The forgotten step-child of LS1 that is Dirt cheap and only makes 290hp..
Would be perfect in a E28..

UK lights would shine in the wrong direction, but euro lights are a fairly common upgrade. The euro bumpers require some welding on the body to make them fit but they do improve the looks. However, they've already been there, done that - there were a couple early 5 series projects in the magazine ten years ago or so.
