    Hey all,

Picked up an 85 318i sedan the other day. It's a five speed. I'm getting attachment anxiety because I already love it very much.

The local boneyard has a 325e, a 325i cabrio, and another e30 that has yet to be identified by a friend (who lives nearby).

My 318i does not have a rear sway and it has rear drums. The suspension feels fine for now but there is definitely too much body roll. The brakes are also in dire need of attention.

Is a rear disc conversion worth doing from a performance standpoint? There seems to be many people on each side of this fence. (Not a track day hero over here, just spirited daily and weekend autocross kind of thing.)

Any goodies from these cars I should snag?

Also, what bang for the buck mods could I participate in other than tires and seat time?

I'm in love with the crank sunroof. I think it needs a longer final drive though.

nice find! looks to be a very nice car. one thing i hear often is that the front sway bar on a convertible is a nice goodie to get. unless it is a track rat i think the rear drums are just fine. while you have access to them. i suggest picking up relays (main and fuel pump), window switches, a drivers door lock actuator, and a couple of window motors. you will eventually need them.... and so does everyone else!

Snag a LSD first chance you get. The 4 cyl e30s got a small case similar to the ones used in the e21 and the 2002. The 6 cyl e30s got a medium case.

    Very nice!

I've got all the stock sport suspension stuff off of my '87 325 in the attic. Tell me if you need anything and I'm sure we could work something out.
