And why, if you have a reason.

    Mazda 1.8L K8-DE.

Because the KL is that much bigger. But still why? It's a 6, and a 2:1 rod ratio at that. M42 is already there I guess. But still, no mini V6 :(

Haha I searched KLDE E30 swap and this was my first google hit: notice miata, e30, p71 lol

They act like there is something wrong with that... Except they forgot the Astro van to haul everything.

VQ35. Great motor, cheap to buy, plenty of power. That said, it's just soooo easy to swap another BMW inline six with similiar power that I'd have a hard time justifying the effort.

    Exactly, an S50/S52 is basically a drop-in.

If you're handy with wiring and don't mind going to manual brakes or a remote booster an S54 is mechanically just as easy.

An S54 E30 would be amazing.

    (FOr those who don't know, the S54 is the 3.2L 333hp, 8k redline I-6 out of the 2000-2006 M3)

I thought about this and I posted up a 13b in a E36 and it's swallered up in the bay... So why not a 20b in a E30?

Comeon... that E46 is about as BMW as my Dodge is a Ford is...

Altho I must say the 3 rotors have the most "peaceful" shreak of all the rotaries....

Nasty sounding, and I mean that in a good way.

A 26B seems kind of silly to waste on an E46. YES, I just went there, and no I don't know of a better place for one but the only BMW I can think of that could really be a fitting home for one would be an M1. Which really shouldn't get an engine swap if it can be avoided, so just forget I ever wrote this.

    12V Cummins could be interesting

Chrysler 170 - it would be like an M20 with pushrods. Might really get some amusing double takes, though, especially if you took an eta engine plenum and some hand fabricated runners and replaced the factory slant six intake manifold. (Yes, I'd considered that on my 225.)

A guy on my Galant forum put a RWD 4g63 in his 318i.

    Chevette 1.6L

Why? Why what? Why it should be done? Shouldn't. Why it hasn't been done....because it shouldn't.

    Jeep 4.0

An engine that I am interested in is the 4bd2ti which is the 4cyl Intercooled turbo diesel out of Isuzu cab over box trucks.
I am not sure how one would be in a e30 but it could be interesting.

Fiat 124 or Alfa spider motors, it would be like drinking OJ after brushing your teeth, it just doesn't make sense...

Have any non-inbrand OHC V8 swaps been done? Ford mod motor, Toyota UZ series, whatever the Nissan V8 is, Mercedes, etc, etc.

Just seems like they'd be the wrong shape for that engine bay.
