    What's decent gas mileage?

Even with a diesel, you will likely squeeze no more than 18 mpg out of a vehicle that large.

You can buy 2 decent minivans for that price, both of which will get 24-26 mpg. I'm not seeing any cost savings.

I have a big family. Life got a lot easier when we started taking 2 vehicles.

Ford Freestyle came with a second row bench as a common option and the third row can easily accommodate a few 6 footers and 27 mpg hwy for the fwd. Buying one this weekend.

The Freestyle has a 2nd row bench for 3, but the 3rd row is for 2. Opposite of most mini vans, still 7 pass.

Depends on the two... it's not Mazda5 tiny back there.

I guess it depends on how much you like the 3rd person in that row. There are only 2 seat belts. We really liked Timmy, but we did save money on gas.... Now we only need a car for 7....

My apologies, I thought there were three...

Don't apologize to me, apologize to Timmy, he was a nice kid.

Sounds like you need a Winnebago Le Sharo, Rialta or similar. Some were small enough to fit in a garage and had a 4cyl.
