    'Tis the season for engine installations. We've got two happening right now, and a third that has recent updates.

    Steve's Camaro is coming along nicely. The engine is in place, and righteous fuel injection wizardry is coming up next.

    Over on the Classic side, we've got another couple of engine installation stories...

    The Shelby GT 350 engine just got a distributor...


    and the engine for the BMW 2002tii is just about ready to go back in the car. Here's the latest update, but stay tuned for the actual installation next week.

    Or something other than an original mill going into a Shelby well at least the dress-up parts are not period correct, can't actually speak for the mill since I didn't read the article

    I was surprised about that as well, especially with all the stuff in earlier posts about making the car concours correct. I assume the original engine will be put in the corner of the garage and saved for the future.

    Winning answer. The engine that came with the car will be saved for possible future installation. Tim reports that the car is much more fun with 500 horsepower.

    Yep. Why blow up the 289 when you can install a 500 hp Ford crate motor to drive the car?

    500hp is all well and good, but there must have been more period correct looking stuff... to use... no????

    Does not compute. No LS anywhere? I was shocked to see the Camaro sans the God engine.
