I have an old (1979) large factory decal that has been in a shed for it's entire life. Would this thing still be good after all the years and heat cycles?

Short answer..it depends on how it was stored, if flat and unbent and if the adhesive is unmolested. I've seen old stickers that work just fine---and others that are screwed up in months.

Flat is covered, but I guess the adhesive is the big question.
No Phoenix or flames.
Think Indy Pace car...

Was a decal guy in a previous life and it depends on who made the adhesive. If it was an engineering grade 3M then it may have 'some' life left. However after 30 years, I'd guess the substrate has shrunk quite a bit (smaller than liner now) and even if it stuck I would not bet on it's ability to withstand hot and cold extremes.
Might make a cool piece of wall art though...

Mustang Pace Car.
I'd go with the wall art.

The Buick would certainly need a bigger wall for the wall art treatment!

Uhhhh, I had the 81 'Shelby Cobra' Mustang with a similar graphics and same paint scheme.
