H2s and H3s are worthy of contempt, but I will own a surplus HMMWV before I die.

    TOW Launcher not required.

I actually like the H3T. it needs a diesel, manual trans, and to be de-bling'd.

And here's me playing one as well for stereo. I learned in my stint at the GM dealership that HUMMER people have less than a clue and tend to be very arrogant.

I wouldn't mind having an H1 pick-up with a duramax coversion. No desire to be seen in or around an H2 or H3.

JUST LIKE THAT! Perfect, other than the fact that it isn't green. I could live with white though; It would match my Miata.

i think the h3 is a fairly capable off-roader, and if they axe hummer, it might be the next grassroots offroader. they're already down close to or below 20k. its also(or was) available with the 5cyl and a 5 speed manual. only issue i can see might be the stupid automatic full-time 4x4 eating tcases and such a la Jeep GC. btw, boo to toyota for making the only 4x4 available with a manual in the FJ being auto/full time. bonus boo since you can get part-time with the auto.

The H3 really is a very capable off-roader (3 lockers), its just a pity the windows are too small to see out of and they have that essence of douchebag about them

I'll add a cello... who wants to play the viola? We'll have the world's tiniest string quartet...

I thought the H3T was a joke, until I saw this review.

    http://www.pickuptrucks.com/html/2009/hummer/h3t/firstdrive/page1.html

I just wish you could get it in a non-chrome non-guido version.

The H3T's bed is far too short to be of any real use. If I can't fit 2 dirt bikes in longways and close the tailgate or carry a 4x8 sheet of plywood without using one of those extender doohickeys that sticks in the trailer hitch, it's a poseur truck.

My dad got a H3 right when they came out and its a blast for offroading. The view outward is simply awful compared to Cherokee.

Theres not a lot of stock vehicles that have the capabilites that the H3 has, except for maybe a Rubicon Wrangler, a Unimog or a Defender. Nothing else comes to mind, though. Personally I dont care to defend the H2 but the H3 is good stuff. If you want to see, come to northern wisconsin and my pop would be glad to show you the E36 M3 it can go through. Just bring the beer.

There is a business in Greenville, SC that rebuilds old military Humvees for sale to the public. Last time I checked they were expensive.

You can build an old Cherokee or any old Jeep to do that for a whole lot less money.

I like the H3 and H3T, H2s are just blah. One of my friends has one and I hate driving it/riding in it. Plus you just feel like a douchebag while you are in it, kinda like people with new Audi's

I've got a professor that has an H2 as well and at least once a week he decks himself out in H2 garb. H2 fedora, h2 tank top, h2 shorts, h2 sandals, or when it was cold out H2 sweater + H2 sweat pants + H2 beanie. He's super cool btw.

And so could a AMC Eagle but that isn't what we're talking about here. We're talking about a manufacturer delivering a stock vehicle that can do that stuff. As for the guys that wear the emblem of their car on all of their clothes, there's at least one guy for every brand.

Ask the average car guy who doesnt autocross and doesnt read this magazine and they'll tell you the miata is a chick car. See my point?
