I'm not buying a new Dodge....I like my old one. Plus I could never spent that much money on a new truck.
One of the cars I own is a red Mercury Capri XR2 convertible...it was free, so I didn't actually choose it, but will drive it, so I think it's safe to say I don't have a problem with my manhood!

and the chinese turbo thing.. thats 2012.. I messed up the timing. The cores(rotating bits) will be assembled in china then sent to the US for end cover installation. The LDD engine will have chinese turbos from the start.

The best SUV is a cheap one you don't have to care about and because most new SUV's, including Hummer's, aren't cheap, I have determined that a $1000 Cherokee is a far more fitting vehicle.

i guess it depends on why you have the vehicle. if you need it to carry dirt bikes or take you to home depot, yes. if you want to go off-roading, maybe not so much...in that case, the longbed 2wd silverado is the poseur no matter how well it carries dirtbikes and plywood.
Apparently they are selling like hotcakes in...Iraq. Why don't they just ship the factory over there and have ai it?

edit: I honestly wouldn't buy either one.....at least not unless it was for peanuts, but forced to pick my choice is the H3T hands down. It seems like it would make a decent small truck. Currently I haul with my old 95 Cummins Dodge and use our 99 Cherokee for the trails.
I wouldn't buy either one, as well. However, you are certainly correct in that there is no comparison between the off road capabilities of the Hummer and the Odyssey body kit-excuse me, Honda Aztec, whoops! I mean Midgeline.

If Holset has a decent QA program, and enforces it in their Chinese factories, they shouldn't have a problem. Garrett/Honeywell has a factory in China and the quality/reliability of turbos coming out of there is on par with the turbos coming out of their plants in the Czech Republic, Mexico, France, England, etc. Holding the suppliers to strict quality standards and regularly inspecting the components will keep quality parts coming in.

Theres not a lot of stock vehicles that have the capabilites that the H3 has, except for maybe a Rubicon Wrangler, a Unimog or a Defender. Nothing else comes to mind, though. You need to check out some landcruisers! really any of them are up to the job of doling out some serious whup ass to many a "offroad" vehicle. Nice to see some one actually using an H3 to go offroad as opposed to driving over a curb @ the local mall 
My dad looked at the landcruisers but he said they were just a little too spartan. I think thats how he started looking at the H3 because he got excited about the landcruisers and saw the 0% financing over at the hummer dealership.
As for the styling, I think it has more to do with the military. The Cherokee was designed to follow the look of past jeeps, like the original CJ or the M version. The H2/3 are designed to follow the styling cues from the H1. Since the original jeep and the H1 were designed for similarlly rugged roles they have similar styling cues.
Bring your stock ridgeline or cherokee and watch the H3 you pull out.

Ooops I'm handy capable today. I was crossing landcruiser with FJ cruiser. my bad. That goes with my other posts too. My dad said the FJ cruiser was spartan. Sorry.

Oshkosh Truck Company makes a lot of the defense support vehicles. I dont think they make any of the actual fighting vehicles but they make the truck that tows the M1 Abrams Tank.
I dont know how much GM does for the military. (Side note, my dad got to ride in one of the HET trucks and he said they able to look down into normal semi trucks.)
