Wondering if anyone in the US is working with the new Fiesta other than Steeda. Also not a great deal of stuff on Ford racing.com

Mustangs are Ford Racing's bread and butter, but they have quite a bit of stuff for the Focus, and they had a nice display of Fiestas at SEMA this year, so hopefully they'll be pumping out some parts for it. This article talks about it, as well as a couple of other companies putting out parts for the Fiesta. Fiestas at SEMA In reality though, I think there was a similar display of Fusions a few years ago and not much came of that, though there's a huge difference between the performance market for a mid-size family sedan and a small hatchback.
We can always hope that these spy shots are really of a turbo Fiesta that will actually come to North America, then you'll have performance with a warranty. Turbo Fiesta Spy Shots

What about the Mazda 3 & GTI 5 doors? I think there is more interst in the US than you think.
Steeda parts are available, while other manufacturers are currently working on their offerings. As usual, new car comes out, prototype parts are shown at SEMA, and inventory is usually available by Spring of the following year. I'd say that the MS3 is quite HUGE, and the wrx/sti is a sedan. This is a small sport compact. When was the last time you saw a 4 door EK/EG Civic hatch? Never. And I see a LOT more 2 door golfs than 4 doors.
Mazda and Subaru are also "smaller" automakers compared to the others like Honda and Toyota. You should go dig up actual sales numbers for the WRX/STi/MS3 and compare them.

I was going by the "4 door hatch...." comment that I quoted. Both the WRX and STi are available in 5 door trim.
Factory turbo cars, but I bet if you look at the numbers, they're both still only bit players.

Seriously, though, Zomby has a point. car enthusiasts are in the minority to begin with. Most of the Fiestas sold in the US will be used for cheap transportation, not for stage rally or any other sort of motorsports.

Ford Racing had a Fiesta on display at PRI this year done up like a rally car and a bunch of Fiesta speed parts hanging on a wall. Looks like Ford at least is trying to make a go of it.

I talked with the guys from Whiteline Performance at the PRI show, and they've already got the parts from their home market. Expect to see them in the 2011 catalog.

All I know is that I did a mild build to one of these in Forza Motorsport 3 (mild cams, sport suspension, wider and stickier tires, LSD, sway bars, big brakes, and lightened flywheel) and it is VERY entertaining to drive. That is a 2-door one in the game though, and...well...it's in a game and not real life.

How many 4 or 5 door copies of the above would be sold if we could get 2 or 3 door versions instead? I believe those are only popular in their current configurations because you can't buy them any other way.
