I filled up the bike today. It was $5.30!
Prices are getting rediculous.

Jeep fill-up: $65.00.
I am now the master of hyper-miling! Intersections with red lights - engine off, short shifting, coasting down hills, anything i can do to get atleast 20 mpgs...

Recent fill on the 750 was $92.xx
Thankfully the price of gas here seems to be coming slightly down, last fill from 1/3 tank yesterday was $75ish. Of course a 23 gallon tank of premium fuel it adds up fast, and a 19.5 avg MPG it drains fast too.

the last time gas was at $4 was the first fill up after I'd gotten the astro... the pump cut me off at $100 and I still wasn't full...
on a side note... I wonder when these will come back... it's just a vac gauge... I was playing around with the volvo the other day trying to keep it above 10hg lol

filled up yesterday north of town so i wasn't able to pick and choose for price. gas was 3.79, 19.5 gallons and nearly 75 bucks. 4 months ago gas was 2.99 and a fill up cost 20 bucks less. i've pulled the roof rack off the xterra, hoping to find out if that is what has been causing my crap mileage (15-17.5mpg highway, truck is rated 20mpg highway. closest i've come to that is an entire tank on the highway with cruise on 68mph with a 35mph tailwind, i got 19.5 that tank)

It's a great time to have a Honda Insight beater....55+ mpg and still room to haul parts in the hatch! I think it's the best beater money I've ever spent.

Funny, just this morning a friend asked me what a vacuum gauge was and what it was used for. He had seen one on some "older fellows" car and was curious about them. Since I am one of those "older fellows" he thought I might know what they were used for.
I told him how you would use it and that I had one on my car. Just that mine is labeled "Boost Gauge"

I filled up the Taurus yesterday when I still had close to a quarter tank left and it still cost me $60 to fill it.
I have seen multiple people riding around town on horses in the last week.

My truck as a 30 gal tank. Filling the tank requires a 2nd mortgage.

why buy a simple vacuum gauge when you can buy an expensive thing that plugs into your OBD2 port and tells you the same thing?
