Mix a little Curtis, Harbor Freight, and some Sears and Voila! A WRX that will carry a family AND all their luggage.

Remember to bring a spare tire for the trailer, along with tools proper sized to remove trailer lug nuts.
You may never need it, but it really sucks to not have it when you do.
    Looks good!

Fortunately I had so much extra space that I packed a spare and a full tool set including a decent Jack. Extra space is cool!

Need a set of adapters to use matching wheels on the trailer to make cool fly boy.

You need to paint the trailer wheels gold.

Good to see you went with the 'bigger' trailer wheels. The tiny ones really suck. Why not toss the box on the roof via removable luggage bars? Granted the trailer has more uses....

I went back to stock suspension and upgraded to 245/45/17 tires at the same time. Internet wisdom says they either fit fine or have no chance in hell without rubbing. I was worried about adding 100lbs on top of the 500 or so we already have in the car. Unfortunately the right rear still rubbed on worn out bridge transitions. I bought a baseball bat for a quickie fender roll before the trip home.

I do like the big tire/wheel setup. I do keep having visions of the "55mph Max" stickers as we are roaring down a mountain pass at 80mph.

I think that the more important factor with the size of the trailer wheels is the life span of the wheel bearings. Eight inch wheels turn many more revolutions per mile (feel free to do the math and tell me how many), so, in addition of greater tire wear, you really have to keep an eye on the bearings.

I think that's the 12" wheel version of the trailer. I've got the HF 4x8 utility trailer and has eliminated my need for a truck. I don't tow any cars, and my trips to the depot just require a 10 minute hook up and take down at the end.

I'll probably get the cargo carrier for the roof on mine for family trips- can't justify another trailer (and don't want to go through the licensing hassle, spare tire/tools, parking etc)
