Get one of these shipped from Europe and I'm sure the rest could be sourced from a manual Focus. Maybe the pedal box from another manual Ford would fit.

We wanted a combination people/stuff mover that was easy to drive in the small city we live in and would get decent gas mileage. So far the gas mileage averages 24 mpg with 95% city driving. So I am happy with the mileage. The second day we had it I put a 48" round patio table with 4 chairs and 3 passengers in it. so it passed the hauling test.

Probably could have done that but I didn't think about it. They were all seated in the regular seats and I had room for one more.

Fun fact: All Transit Connects are shipped with rear glass and seats to get around the chicken tax, but most of the (brand new) seats are sent to the shredder, and the glass is recycled.

I had heard that all Transit Connects had seats when they arrived in the U.S., but had not heard the part about the windows. Since the seats would seem to be the only thinks that make them a "real van/car?" and not a truck...can't imagine why the windows are binned?

Depends on how you order it. You can get a cargo (no seats) interior that has all the windows, rear door windows only, or no widows behind the driver at all. Most commercial users don't want windows in the back.

I read that the cargo area was 6' long so I guess is depends how tall you are.

It is ~5'6" from the rear door to the seats when folded up. If you take the seats out entirely (6 bolts) you gain another 6" but the floor in those 6" is ~6" lower than the rest of the floor (rear foot well). The cargo van types have a piece that fits over the footwell to make a flat floor all the way to the front seats.

Just a heads up, Adrian Steel is the Company that makes the cool shelves and bins/lockers that contractors/plumbers/electricians sometimes use in their vans.
I took a complete van worth home from work and put them on my garage wall.
