It's missing one plug wire, but otherwise it has the full wiring harness and ecu. and the oil cooler

I just picked up on the "Ontario" part. I guess I missed that before.

I could easily get it to buffalo for free. CT may be a bit harder.

Just thought of this - my neighbor has a 1st-year Goldwing that's been in his shed forever, IIRC $500 was his price, though it may have been less. He wrecked it years ago & bent the forks, kept it around with the intent of building some type of enclosed trike, but never got around to it.

Skip the diff, just put a sprocket on a tube for an axle.

Sure, that would be easy (and fun!), but I fear that it wouldn't turn.

What's the advantage of the Merkur vs the Miata rear?

I pretty much planned on getting a Miata for the uprights and steering and a bunch of other stuff. Maybe I should consider a Merkur.

    Sorry, late on the reply.

The Merkur diff is small and easier to mount than a Miata diff - although if you go with a complete rear subframe etc from a Miata, that's not a problem other than the nose of the diff. Ping me if you're looking for a particular Miata ratio and I'll tell you where to look, but the smaller, lighter 1.6 rear only comes in a 4.30.

I could have sworn I posted this already, but other than Quaifes what other chain drive differentials are there out there? Can you make one from relatively cheap and available parts?

    I hope so.
