Haven't tried any other browsers yet, but I've got a search box that's sitting about about 3/4s of the way down the page and it prohibits clicking whatever thread it's floating over.

I see that as well. Probably an IE thing. I thaught we were going to see a new forum software implemented around new year?

We're working on a fix as we speak. Much like a boat, the search box needs anchors.

As always, thank you for your patience.

On the classic forum each post right justifies until it is just one letter on top of a letter.

everything was fine at work on Firefox but at home on Chrome the search box is still floating down....

    In reply to fastEddie:

Same here with Google chrome. Search box is hovering half-way down the page but moves up with the page when scrolling down. The ad banner at the top of the screen is partially blocked by the GRM subscribe and sample issue header. But everything returns to normal when you hit refresh. Open a new window or tab and the problems return.

Here at work it's fine useing IE 8 but at home using IE? (windows 7) is messed up.

I did a page refresh earlier today and haven't seen the problem since.

Now I'm just back to my usual grumbling about how I don't understand how to get things to format nicely.

With Google Chrome, I can't log in today. The floating search thing wont' let me put in my user name.

So, here I am back on IE8. Yippee.

can i just say that i have HATED the search feature since the site switched to new format. HATE. i cant find a thing ever.

The old site (anyone remember it even?) that search feature was the best. You could limit it to forums sections or find stuff by user.

Am i doing it wrong or is it just bad?
