Very cool to see these 90s icon receive new part production!

Nissan has a similar program with GTR engine production starting again:

Yeah lots of OEM now going into this business. Can't wait to see some 94-95 MR2 parts new again.  Also would like Honda to do this, so I can have parts for EF and GSRs again.

Looks like Japan is going through what happened in the US after the musclecar era was over: people stopped dropping old stuff just because it was old, and started deep maintenance/restoration, because the automakers didn't make enthusaist cars like that anymore.

I mean, if the R34 was available, I probably would have treated R32s as old junk too.

If only Ford would do this for 90s Thunderbirds and Cougars. I know I know, not as revered as the Supra, but c'mon I need a new ABS module.

For the cost of a new abs module from a dealer, you could probably just buy another 90s Thunderbird/cougar.

91 XR7. Early MN12s with ABS (and various other cars of the era including Jaguars and Buicks) use the super crappy and rare Teves MK II system. I guess "ABS module" is not entirely correct, it's the entire ABS system. It's all tied into the brake booster and uses an electric motor to fill an accumulator to pressurize the system. When it goes bad, you not only lose power assist, you also lose the rear brakes and about 30% of your stopping power as a result.

Gotcha. Looks like the only thing I could come up with would be the mounting insulator kit, lol. They did make rebuild/seal kits, but those are discontinued too.
That assembly would've been about $2500. Though.
