Not a great deal but seems like the gimmicks are getting deep. A buddy at work just bought a 2wd Ram sicker at $30k for $15k out the door with no trade.

Sure, it's a great time to buy if you really need a truck. But (as always) why buy new?
I'm seeing '06 fullsize trucks with reasonable miles under $8k.

Nissan dealer in south Lansing has Versas for $9990.00 Chevrolet dealer on the next block has WT1500 V6s for the same price.

Nissan launched a sub $10,000 about a month ago, so it's not necessarily a big deal for a dealer to advertise they have them.
A month ago, while Ford was still trying to decide if they would launch the '09 F-150 on time, 1 or 2 dealers here in the Mid-south were advertising 150s for under 13 grand.
Like a previous poster asked, "why buy a new truck when a nearly new one is so cheap?"

I have seen new loaded versas for about 1.5-2K off sticker, I want one. But I wonder about a small truck left over, base model ranger on clearance?
