It's their last open track weekend of the year. About .000247% chance of me being there, but I would love to do a track day one of these years! Anyone going?

lived within 30 miles of the track for 22 years, and I have never once been on it. Visited once to drop off a transmission, but never driven it.

Ironically there is a .999753% chance of rain.

gingerman is SUPER FRICKEN FUN in the rain, especially with generic tires and a car that can kinda handle.

i took Gutty, our $200x crx, out for a full day of rain sessions once.

when we were re-doing the alignment at challenge this year setting it up for Drag strip height, i found another chunk of muddy/sand spray from that day, 2 years ago. it fell OUT of the crossmember, which we've had off the car twice since then. i put the car DEEP off into the sand, and drove it right back out.

I live within 50 miles or so of this track, but still haven't made it out there for one of the open track days. I'd go this weekend, but my car is down for a clutch replacement at the moment. I guess there's always next year......

I usually go to Gingerman about 5 times a year for their week night test and tune's. Basically show up with whatever, have your helmet checked and pay your $60.
That's super cheap open track time.
