somewhere out there, i saw a pic of a 3.1 that had a supercharger from a 3.8 bolted to the top of it. they just cut a hole in the plenum, drilled and tapped some mounting holes, and put it on. they used a longer serpentine belt to run it. it looked pretty awesome.

    Ghettoretta?

The car is gone, but its memory lives on. I've convinced him to buy a Fiero recently...we'll see what crazy shenanigans he comes up with on this one.

no- that car looks too nice for what i'm remembering. i'm thinking it was a couple of years ago, perhaps in the first article i ever read about a LeMons race..

My 83 FB with the 2.8 and the 5 speed was a great car. It was the bottom of the bucket option wise except for AC and the rear defrost. Other than the Cheep 80's interior (that for some reason I would not mind having again today) I loved that car.

I put on "huge" (for the time) 245x60x15's eagle gt's on the front and 255x60x15 on the rear. Upgraded the bars and shocks and that car was just a blast to toss in to corners. I would love to get that car back. To bad they are all rust buckets up in these parts.

Simple cheap transportation in a 80's, pimp-in, disco kind of way.
