Personally I think its all for congress that seems to hate the performance industry. They're wanting more money and in their eyes that means showing that you're getting out of your "irresponsible" hot-rodding ways.
I would bet with all of that behind them, you'll see more from GM besides plain pasta, or should I say appleless pie.
With cars like the CTS-V, Solstice, Z06, etc., GM was finally getting back into the groove of building exciting stuff. Unless those guys all move somewhere else, I think yyou'll see more fun stuff in their future.
