2 problems: its the rarer 5'8" 2wd crew cab bed and it's the stealth grey metallic which wasn't that common in the 1500CC's. For a decent bed it's still $2500. A little bit more and I can have it fixed and some other touchups done.
Dropped it off this morning. "Rented " the folks '03 'Hoe. I'm running 80mph up 465 sliding in and out of traffic like its nothing thinking to myself "Damn this thing drives GOOD. I wonder how many miles it has?" Get to work flip the odo from the trip and it's at 208k miles.
Went and paid for it this morning. Looks fantastic. They fixed a couple other little things at the same time but forgot my one request for the bottom of the driver's door. They're going to touch that up today.
So am I understanding this right.....a new 'bedside' was R&R'd .....or was the whole bed?
New GM bedside, new fuel filler lid, fixed door, cab, paint and blend. Took 2 weeks to get 'er done.
Well with all that, taking the bed off to strip the the panel and then reinstall .....I'd say $$$$$ well spent and you need to send them a Christmas card. 
They got paid well.
I got a complete reshoot on my '91 extcab 1/2t plus some dent repair and paint the bed cover for those kinds of dollyars a few years back in the WRONG color. Original gun metal gray metallic (w/red interior) the shop's interpretation .....dark forest green metallic. When I went to pick it up the front doors were open ......it looked like a berkin' large mouth bass ....the shop didn't really see anything all that wrong... are you effen kinding me!?!?!!!!.....Yes I was pissed and yes they reshot it and no I didn't recommend them to anyone. Still have the truck.
