Long time since I've checked this thread. I have actually decided to look for a 4wd vehicle, a 2wd pre-runner could probably go most of the places that I plan to go, however it would require speed, and lots of tire spinning both of which are frowned up on the beach.
I am going to save up some $$ and purchase one of the following
FJ60 1st or 2nd Gen 4Runner Samurai hardtop
I've been checking out some of the little SUVs around town lately. Winter can be a bit harsh and we've had flooding the past couple of years.
I am definitely an under 2k shopper, I like sticking around 1k if I can. See alot of Rodeos and a couple 4Runners down at that level. I've always wanted a Jeep, too. I just need four doors, the best gas mileage I can get, 4WD or AWD, and general bang-for-the-buck...
