meh...just some fun pics of me and my neighbors digging out and 4x4ing out of our culdesac/street/adjoining street since we apparently don't rank very high on the list of places that Virginia DOT sends plows to after 30+" of snow.
4Runner is my wifes. We used 4 shovels, it, a Durango, a Suburban, and a Tahoe (all pretty much stock) to blast out of almost 3' of unplowed snow...uphill.
Some pics just because there will clearly be no early-season autocross around here....
a neighbor up the street thought she could play too. Told me that she would have alot less trouble than my 4Runner, since she had "more ground clearance and a V8." She made it about 8 feet out of her driveway. She also had (to her surprise) nearly bald tires. A valiant effort - she had to go pick up her parents, who had no power for 2 days. The guy with the Durango lent it to her later in the day once we got out....
who will win this tug-o-war
the street across from us....no vehicles exited for 2 days. Those are just 3' deep footpaths...
ours....still no plow, but passable
little do the neighbors know that the entire effort was just a way for me to get the WRX out!
next time, I'm renting one of these
and a gratuitous pic of my wife/daughter and the neigbor's dog, who is known to pull sleds up and down the street

The car is now snow-free, but I haven't tried to move it yet. This is just crazy weather for Virginia. I'm ditching the all-season run-flats on the MINI for Hakkapeliittas next year.
