All 3 are cars that I must own before I get old (like 40 or something)

    A couple of thoughts:

I never figured a city like Cleveland as having an undiscovered treasure trove of cars....

As someone NORTH of 40, I'm not sure what you'd call me (LOL)....ancient?

"Dynoed engine according to previous owner"

I'm pretty sure he isn't sure what "Dynoed" means unless he was also going to include other useful facts like "Driven according to previous owner" and "Seen parked by several witnesses".

    Cool list though :)

Interesting approach to the roll bar on that Europa.

    Cleveland Rocks.

Interesting. Not too far from me either.

I never see a BiTurbo running with more than 50k miles on (if you ever see one running.) I highly recommend against one and will provide no help to someone who thinks they need one.

I could look at the Europa but with most any Europa shopping, assume that it needs everything (including frame and bodywork.)

I know nothing of the last.

I am pushing 40... as far away from me as I can... but I fear it is winning

For Sale: Trouble, and lots of it. Welcome to hell.

I don't speak from experience, but have heard enough rumours and the details are scary enough, that I felt uneasy just reading the ad.

I remember seeing a Biturbo on the old TV show Miami Vice, shown as the pinnacle of what bad guys ride in. Guess they wised up, or walked.

The owner of those cars simply must be on here. I mean who else but a GRM reader would be such a masochist as to actualy own a Lotus, a Biturbo and a Matra!! Come out come out where ever you are!

But you know... rumors are just those.

    I've had Yugo, X1/9, XR4ti, & Alfa w/out much trouble at all.

I'm sure I'll find something to break me one day, I really want to won each of these cars in that post (especially the Matra and Biturbo)

m4ff3w, you and I must have been separated at birth, I own an XR4Ti, I'm trying to buy an X1/9 this weekend and I've been looking at Alfas the last 6 months. The Yugo sadly is and I believe never will be on my list...

All of those cars depend on the previous owners and maintenance. My experience with Alfas, Fiats, Porsches, etc. is that previous and current maintenance is key. If you do it, you should be ok. If not, break out the wallet and prepare for drainage!
