OK, here is the story of the article in C&C
Few months back, finally got the car running OK and took it to Doughnut Derelicts. While on the way (all 3 miles of it) I come up on a black Crown Vic and become cautious of it due to him looking at me intensly. Come to find out he is the writer of the article you all see. He tried to get a picture of himself while driving with the pinto in the back ground (1st pic) When we got there, he told me who he was and what he was doing and I gave him the quick run down. His blurb on the pinto is not completely acurate. It is a 5.0ho but out of a Lincoln Mark VII, not a Mustang. Also, the transmission is an SROD (4 speed) not a T5. Other than that, I was entered in 05, but had too much to do at the end after working too far from the house. 06, my daughter was born. 07, Too much work, not enough car time. 08, my son was born and I finally did the math on cost to date. Gave my wife a big hug for putting up with me and realized that there was no way that car would ever be 200x. Also, florida with the cost of gas and other expenses would be near the cost of the car when all said and done. Another time with another car.
The car itself was purchased for 350 for the cost of the 6 point roll bar and the car came with it. It has been a tremendous learning experience on how to weld, fabricate, shove, force and many other adjectives to a car that is over 30 years old. Being a CA car, the rust is not too bad, but has some.
I have finaly posted it in readers rides and will update the page when I update my website and do more work on the car. Now if I can get it in GRM as I intended.
