So I'm at work checking some things on some cars we bought at copart, and happen to see a totaled Ford GT that's coming up for auction. I clicked on the pics and it's got Gumball 3000 stickers all over it! Why does that not surprise me?

Looks like that car was "murdered out" in more ways than one.

I haz a sad.
I'd give up all of my redundant organs to own a Ford GT. It's the only supercar I would do that for.

Whats the prob? engines in the back.
Chicken wire for windscreen ala dirt track car, 7-eske front with open wheels for radiator shrouding, or maybe some sheet Al riveted together using only a brake for bends for new batmobile like look.
Why worry about true suspension, I would be driving it around sideways all the time anyways.

The most disturbing part of this is that since it's at copart, that means that some insurance company somewhere paid out for this douchenozzle to berkeley up.

Poor car, you didn't deserve that!
Dirt track special? I think so.

It's amazing how many of these things have been crunched. There was one from the Boston dealer that hit a pole at well above the 25 mph limit in the area.

I believe I've found pics of the car before the wreck. Looks pretty nice, as do most Ford GT. Flicker Pics

OTOH, how do you like doing business with Copart, and is it viable for non-dealers to buy through them?
