I believe they are closer to the mid/high 15s bone stock.

Yeah. Ridiculous horsepower is certainly an option if you pursue it , but I don't think it makes much sense in this application.

I want to roll like the 5-0. Slowly, with a coffee in my lap and screaming/crying kids in the backseat.

No, they are not in 14's stock. Not even close. The 01 and newer ones will do 16.0's/15.9's stone stock. The non-PI 00's and earlier are about a half second to full second slower still.

14's is slow with a Lightning motor. Mine does 14's with a CAI, cat-back, and tuner! We'll see Saturday how much faster it is with the new tires and the J-Mod to the trans.

there are mid 13 second panthers with N/A 2valve 4.6's.

Mine's a mid 15 second rig with just 3.73's and a lot of rubber.

you don't want more than 3.73's, errr, I don't. In fact, I sometimes wish I'd have gone 3.55.

there are a handful of sway bar upgrades out there for panthers.
I find mine completely acceptable the way it came from the factory, except I slapped Bilstien HD's under it.

seriously - dead honest - we had several bone stock 98-99's at the track and they were turning 15.9/16.0 passes right along with the 01+ cars there. there was absolutely no discrepancy in times between the NPI and PI cars. there was even a bone stock 100k mile 96 grandma key running 16.1

Then add a couple bullet hole decals when you are towing the bomber miata.

You could buy this one, sell the rims and lift kit and probably end up with a (very) cheap P71.

what do you estimate the used parts would bring? 'cause that's a $2000 car without them, tops.

Always nice to deal with a seller who thinks that an automatic transmission is an option on a Crown Vic. Jeez.
