Have to say this is a new one for me. I didn't even know they existed. Anyone ever heard about or seen the Nissan Patrol?

I believe that's a G60 series Patrol. We got the whole line-up here in Australia, right through to the current SUV-type model.

Cool car. Interesting alternative to a Jeep/Rover.

Very cool but never officially imported stateside. They seem to be the Nissan answer to FJ40 in third world countries - runs forever and takes ridiculous abuse.

Based on the title I expected the answer to be Suzuki Equator.

There is one in my driveway. Oddly enough there is one about 2 miles away from me and I never knew it until we both showed up at the same soccer game with our kids. There are not many on the East coast, but there are a good amount out there considering that not many were imported. I would guess about 10 a year pop up on Ebay.

I think there may have been some overlap between the Patrol and the Pathfinder at some point.

The last time I was in Iraq somebody had a bunch of nice new desert tan Patrols, they have a more serious off-road vibe than most new SUV's here. Sort of like what SUV's were like here in the '80's before they became soccer mom chariots.

Wow, nice truck. If that were a Toyota in that condition it would be going for 3x~4x what he's asking at least. Hell, if I were in the area I'd probably already own it for that price.

Also, the guy who wrote that ad should get some kind of award. His grammar isn't 100% perfect, but it has actual sentences, punctuation, usable photos (considering their small size) and lots of detailed info. I like how he says, "I don't really know much about it" and then proceeds to say quite a lot of things he actually does know about it. In contrast to 99% of CL adverts out there where the poster thinks they know everything possible but actually are a complete clueless berkeleywit.

They were imported and sold from 1961 to 1969. About 2800 were sold total. Mine was bought from the local Datsun Dealer in 1968 by the previous owner

berkeleywit. I like that. I'm stealing it.

Also, this is the best use of keywords I've ever seen.

I think the Wheeler Dealer folks redid one.

Good ad, but what exactly is the "....back rear"? and what does an extra "front and back rear" look like? And please, no bootie jokes. I'm guessing this guy means the rear bumper? Extra front and rear bumpers?

I came across one in a warehouse full of used textile equipment one day. The owner's son had squirreled it away.

I thought this thread was going to be about a LaForza.

I've seen laterexamples in Colorado while on ski break in the '80s. Two tone paint job on one that was captivating.

Datsun... er, Nissan missed the boat on this (like changing their name)
