Well, you can't go wrong with either car as they both have been junkyard turbocharged before on the cheap.

Still laughing.

junkbuggie: If I may make a suggestion that would make your first turbo project, and your life in general, waaaay easier: Buy a honda. They're light, cheap, and turbo bits come in cereal boxes and happy meals. You can buy a cast iron manifold for ~$100 on ebay, and the Gutty guys mentioned to us at the challenge that there's a free version of chrome available for tuning. Chipped ecu's can be had for ~$50.

Hopefully, someone's already posted the $10 check valve boost controller. If not, I'll dig it up and post it. Yes, a boosted Le Sabre would be pretty sleepery-cool. No, it's not going to be as light as a civic or crx, and Megasquirting gets expensive pretty quickly.

my $.02

What year? I have a 79 and it has been under construction for nearly 3 years now.

Check out:

since the cars have been around since 77 there have been a number of articles written on improving the cars and the 924S and 944 are based on the 924 so many parts interchange for relatively easy upgrades.
