So I found a 95 325iS 2dr for sale on one of the local boards. Needs a headliner installed (current owner has another for the car), needs the HG fixed (I'm not surprised about that one), 5 spd, and it has 198k on it. All for $2500.

Run away or negotiate? Personally, I think it is a lil high knowing it needs a fairly serious but easily done repair.

Considering I'm selling a 93 with M3 suspension and a perfectly good head gasket for $1400... (granted it isn't pretty...) I think it is a LOT high.

A $2500 200k 325is should be in pretty damn good running condition.

Currently awaiting some bigger then thumbnail pictures. Even from those small pics it doesn't look like a 200k car..... So I dunno.

    Meh . . . I think you can find something better for a LOT lower . . .

3 months ago I picked up my 325i with 104k, 3 year old respray (not wrecked, just cosmetic), full docs from new for $2750. I would say high.

    One picture of said car:

My only real problem is that the car is 3hrs away and not really local, but close enough.

IMHO I would say $1500-$2000 would be reasonable.

if it was a TI, M3, or a Zed... it would be good.. but for a run of the mill coupe or a sedan.. seems a bit high

maybe for a 330 with those issues

It has nice wheels M3 lip skirts and mirrors. Some sort of suspension, taillights maybe. Its got some cool parts but I would be afraid of shoddy work, considering the BHG and such. Absolutely check the subframe mounts, before you buy, guaranteed that has been driven hard!

As others have said, run away.

Headgasket probably means cracked head plus there's the rest of the cooling system which caused the head gasket to go.

I would steer clear of anything with silly wheels, ugly tail lights and headlights, and generally any other high school kid upgrades...but that's just me.

I just figured you meant, "With that much wrong with it, it would have to be an E46 to be worth that much."

i think i figured out what confused me, the year 2000. e36 still existed and the 330i came out, but it was definitely and obviously an e46 car.
I still haven't figured out why non-running bmw's are so costly...
