I forgot to mention, I worked at a Chevy dealership back in the 80's before I went off to college (maybe thats why I have such a soft spot for these cars?) I do recall the dealership getting a used red 5.7 liter camaro in on a trade. I slapped a plate on it and test drove it to make sure, you know, it was road-worthy and all... that was a hell of a ride back then. But then I also distinctly recall having fun in a used Buick GN and having the thing knock my socks off. It was indeed the fastest American muscle-car of the time...much much much faster than the 5.7 camaro, the corvette of the same year, and the 84 trans am my dad owned at the time as well as faster than the 88 GTA he got later.

Nice website and nice collection. He's brave for praising the V8-6-4 though. That Eldorado probably has the cleanest one left in existence. And I think he's going a little overboard with that STS. Yeah, that might be the nicest one in existence, but they are not that special anymore. Those probably ane not going to command mega bucks down the road.
Oh, and those Lincolns rock. I wouldn't kick that white one out of the driveway, that's for sure.

Because they were extremely expensive. The MSRP of a 1997 BMW 850 was $94,700.

In reply to 914Driver BMW lost money on everone built, and it "confused" buyers as to what was BMW's ultimate car at the time.
Management thought it was too "confusing" too.
