Can i join the "big tire, little car" club? Everyone told me it couldn't be done on a narrowbody 5th gen Celica.

Behold, 245/45-16 Hankook Ventus RS2s on Enkei RP01 Limited edition 16x8s. On a narrowbody celica.

Car is now lower than in this picture. The AllTrac guys tell me i'm compensating for something.

Do we like, or don't like?

    (Added front pic. BEEFY.)

Coming from you, i am honored.

With my new suspension on there, i think i could honestly switch it up a little bit with a higher offset, and go to a 255, MAYBE a 265 width. Might be something i look at once i get the drivetrain sorted out.

When my budget can afford it I am going 10 inch wide 15's on my Mustang....Grip is an addiction...

I expected flared wheel arches...I hoped for flared wheel arches, I am saddened that there are not flared wheel arches...and yeah, what curtis asked...rubbing much?

In these pictures, this was on my old suspension, which was inserts in stock struts. It rubbed on the back struts, i needed literally 3mm more of clearance.

There was minimal rubbing on front fenders, i fixed that with a hammer. The rears rubbed.

I've since put on the coilover setup, and i now have 8-10mm of strut clearance in the back, probably 20mm in front. I need to get new pics up, i have AllTrac front fenders on now, which are wider, they have stock "box flares," so you guys will get your flares.

I'm still rubbing in the back over hard bumps and psycho-style U-turns. It's driveable, i just have to stay aware of my surroundings. I have an appointment with a body guy next weekend to roll the rears, and possibly flare them a couple millimeters. The baseball bat method didn't quite cut it. Close, but not quite.

The stance is slightly lower now, and the car looks surreal up front, almost impossibly wide from certain angles. I actually ordered some 10mm spacers for the front.

New pics will follow. New bumper is hopefully being fitted tonite.

I won't need those in the front anytime soon.... the rear? Maybe. You might get your hopes fullfilled this winter.

Couldn't find my rivet gun. Borrowing one tonite unless it continues to rain.

I'm so close to having this thing be done for the summer.

Hahah, i hear yah. 205s were stock on the car. 205s look pretty beefy on the Deathscort.

Ready for Saturday? I don't think i'm running, not sure which car i'm going to drive up there, either.

Two thumbs up. Didn't the Iszuzu Impulse have those "Handling by Lotus" badges?

love the rims.. I had RPO1s on my old hyundai Tiburon. Shame Enkei stopped making them. One of the prettiest and lightest rims they ever made

I don't know... i grabbed these off a stylus in the yard. I thought they were funny.

Thanks everybody. Now i just need to get an alignment and tighten up the exhaust (or just do a new one) and then we're ready for the summer's events.
