Im sure this has been asked and if it hasn't, it should have been...

What was your favorite GRM project car?

There have been soooo many over the years and I'm sure some shine bright in your minds while others were just kind of dim and not as much fun as you had hoped...

    Other questions as well:

    What has been most reliable?

What was the most fun to drive on the track or at an autocross?

What was most suited for everything?

I know I really enjoy learning about the LeGrand, definitely makes me want to try and do a B-Mod car... But that doesnt count, Its not a street car!

Also enjoyed: The CRX, SAAB, and the 335i. The 335i was VERY informative, especially with the exhaust comparisons.

I'll bet you get a better response to a question like this if you don't ask it during the Challenge :)

Lets just say Miata and be done with it.

Ask five days in a row and you'll probably get five different answers.

The ones of mine I miss the most are my 85.5 944 and my '90 CRX Si, but I think I may like my current MS3 the best of any of them. The non-me projects that always turned me on were the Integra-powered '86 Civic Si, and, of course, the Ro-Spit. David's '88 CRX Si, and his current Si were and are pretty awesome, and Per's Alfa was also super-cool.

The '94 Miata R was naturally awesome, and the original Neon saw ungodly track time in SSC, then lots of autoX time in CSP and never missed a beat.

The ro-spit seems to come up often are a well remembered car.

Most reliable? The 2008 WRX more than likely. Never had a moment of downtime.

My favorite is easily the turbo Miata, but I'm extremely biased. I also like Per's current Subaru wagon a lot.

I'm also looking forward to getting a green light to move forward with the '03 WRX someday.

David's original CRX (the Yellow one, circa 1996) was a huge help for me, since it was my first foreign car.

hey! I'm in the office! (hear the echo?)

I'm not sure I can pin down an exact favorite, but Tom's Turbo Miata is a wicked blast to drive.

The Ro-Spit was an absolute auto-x weapon, but it was so on the edge it's reliability suffered.

I actually really liked the HS MINI we had. I drove the wee out of that little thing, and it was always a surprising amount of fun.

Of course the first Rallycross Impreza Rat that Per built was fun in a "beat me like a redheaded stepchild" sort of way.

That Alfa sure did sound, and look nice. It gave me a whole new appreciation for the marque.

Like Tom says......Baskin Robbins.... all kinds of good flavors!

I'd like to clarify - the turbo Miata that has been mentioned twice sports an FM II turbo. I felt that should be pointed out

I loved that Alfa. And Per's Saab rally car was pretty cool too. I can't say I was reading the magazine much in the Ro-spit days (years? decades?) though.

lol Love the shamless plug... If I ever get my hands on a miata, I'll be buying an FM II kit from ya.

The HS Mini was fun and very practical. Should have kept it. The E30 M3 was a lot of fun. Fond memories of autocrossing it and towing Tommy's kart with it.

The Formula Vee was really cool. The Ro-Spit wasn't unreliable as much as it was a car for someone who was only going to have one car. It wanted constant use and tinkering. it wasn't a car to just let sit for six months and then jump in and go.

That red Spitfire, which I actually have back now, was one of the cars we had the most fun in. Solo II Nats, Chimney Rock, and going to the VTR meet were all good memories.

There has been so many, I am not sure I can remember them all. Hope this answers the question pretty well.

JG has done most of the domestics. He can comment on the Mustang and Corvette, Olds and others.

I'm biased. I like what's in my driveway and garage right now (LeGrand and the 2000 Impreza wagon.)

I didn't fit in the Alfa and had a hard time driving it with a helmet on.
