    ... and I'm not ready.

1968 Ford Cortina with a supercharged V-6 from a Thunderbird Supercoupe hooked to a top loader 4-speed and ends up with an 8.8 posi.

The 340hp engine is set back a bit to aid fore & aft balance; i.e. the driver's seat is in the rear seat footwell. I like the GT aluminum wheels but don't think they have enough width to hook up. Fender flares will help but I think off set wheels will tuck everything inside the fenders.

It may not be a Nelson beater and I may never get to spank a Clown but I think this could be more entertaining than amatuer strip night at a fat farm.

    Film at 11 ....

Sweet! Im partially glad I got you hooked up with that car and partially sad I didnt snag it myself.

340hp?!?! Is that stock for a supercoupe 6? I was unaware.

aaah, cool, just thought maybe I missed on the hidden HP gem of the century. We looked at a few of those to power our Lemons MGB but ended up going a little more mainstream instead.

I always thought this drivetrain would be an excellent Locost donor.

what size rims are those and what is the bolt pattern? If they are 4x100, you might be able to get something similar looking as used on E21 and E30 bmws.. they look a LOT like the rims Alpina used to make.

I'm diggin the setback that allows you to not only climb into the engine bay, but actually stand BEHIND the crossmember while working on the engine.

    Awesome.

If it is any consolation, I will also NOT be bringing my 300+ hp Lotus this year.

If you want to join me in Team ConeShagger, I'll buy you a beer and we can talk about all the stuff a Lotus will someday accomplish at the Challenge.

If it makes ya feel better on Team Cone Shagger Im easily persuaded to let folks take the Wartburg for a spin, its still registered for street use.

I know this is nothing compared to Andy's medical issues, but this is the perfect weekend for a sinus infection...
