In advance, I apologize if this is wrong area for this one.
With only about 14 weekends till the challenge, and those who I would normally be working on a challenge car with are time limited due to new family members, I was starting to come to the conclusion that I would be a spectator again this year. That is till yesterday, when our daily popped the motor a few months ago we started daily driving a 300$ protege I had picked up after last years challenge, long story short, I got the okay to challenge the protege, with the restrictions of no major mods that would improve my chances of blowing the motor, ie no turbo add on or nitrous, at least until she has another car to drive if I destroy this one. 
Little known to her I've already started making arrangments for another Miata for her, which was going to be her anniversary present, Oct 2nd, that's the other reason I love her so much, for the last two years the weekend of our anniversary has been me running around with the guys and obsessing over a car leading up to that weekend. I had to tell the world, that she's the greatest, she even volunteered to watch the kids last year so we could get more work done on the challenger (we don't have any two legged kids yet) she's great, I know there are some great women behind most of us but I just had to tell everyone about mine.
