BTW how does the NJ DMV/Sales Tax freaks handle a swap of vehicles? Will you pay tax based on the value of the Tahoe ... or no Tax because no cash exchanged hands?
Good question. On a dealer trade in the value of the trade in is deducted from the total cost and you pay tax on the remaining value. But in a private sale situation I'm not terribly sure, I'll have to look that up.
