Less than 100k full dealer service history. Asking $2900. The bad is it is 6 hours away.

Awesome. Ride Megabus and drive home.

That design has not aged gracefully.

I somewhat agree, but wagon is so much more practical than sedan. And no one will try to steal it.

Is 6 hours away too far? I'm up at 3:00, getting ready to board a plane for a fly and drive. I have a 12 hour drive home. And the car is cheap!

I looked at that picture and thought the opposite. Or maybe you're right and the car is very much of a different, very brief, design era so it sticks out. I like how these have aged, you can drive one in traffic and be the weird guy.

Her face is fine. I don't like the wheels.

Nope and I am ok with that. I don't know if the wagon ever came with a std trans. I also think you could only get the manual with the 2.5l motor.

I think it is a polarizing design. A love it or hate it type thing. What got me was how they drive. These things Handel really flat. They inspire conference. The AWD is really nice both for handling on the dry and when in snow. One of tge things I really liked about my last X type. The fit and finish of these cars is very nice and I have found they ware/age very well. The other thing for me is I find the seats very confortable.

I like being different and this fits that as well.

I saw one of those a few weeks ago in British racing green. Cool car.

I'm not a fan of the X-type in general, but the wagon looks really good.

I came here to post the same thing!

It was the first time I had seen one, and I thought "Oh yes!".

I'll be curious to hear how it is to live with.

AWD V6 Ford Mondeo. AWD because Jaguar insisted that all of their vehicles power the rear wheels.

Oddly enough, I've done two engines in them. They suck.

It's like a Ford Contour with better everything. Take that as you will.

I actually like the looks of them inside and out quite a bit.

They do have a funky back side. I like the roof top antenna.

They're much closer to 3-series than 5-series in size, though. Mind you that they are Contours underneath. (Yes, I know, 2nd-generation that we never got here, but mechanically/dimensionally very very similar)

Where are the disparaging words? X-types are fun cars to drive.

I'd even do another engine in one. I know most of the tricks to do it, now, but there's no denying that it's a sucktastic experience. I don't see how you could replace the rear bank's cat in chassis, it's extremely difficult even with the engine/trans/subframe chunk on the ground!

Is that a Euro model, or did they put the 3.0 in them here? I always thought it was the Contour 2.5.
