Mine was rebuilt for some unknown reason before I bought the car. But it was a mazda tech that did it, as well as owned the car..... You can tell that while it's not perfect, it was well cared for. 1-2 is notchy as hell, but I've decided that they all do that. Other than that, she's smooth.

Mine would have popped with or without the racing. So seasons of previous racing couldn't have possibly caused the Mod to want to attempt to send a plug into low earth orbit? My wife can't be pregnant, we stopped having sex a month ago!
As an aside, why do you hate this car so much? Ride in the back too often?
Suuuuuuuure.
And why yes, I did. My parents had a 99 CV. Miserable thing, and it gave up the ghost at 110,000 meticulously maintained miles.

The Type-H trans is garbage and will not allow that otherwise wonderful vehicle/platform to make it into Answer category.
That's pretty funny considering an astro has a 4L60..
I would bet good money that the trans in the Miata is no stronger than an H-Type
Apparently not having a crap-ass power to weight ratio (p71, astro, miata) opens the MX6 up to some very double-standard criticism.
There are a lot of things i dislike about Cherokees, and all of them have to do with high-speed driving and the interior on pre-97. But if you use it as a jeep.. or do some mods to affect high speed stability, or buy a 97-up.. you are well on your way to having an all around cool vehicle.
