We more than doubled the stock HP output! Jeeez! 13.82 @ 102mph. The motor took first gear launches at 2000RPM with cylinder pressures that should have shot the plugs through the hood, and exhaust gas temps that were slightly hotter than the surface of the sun.

    2) or, fit the largest (used) r-comps you can on it, go autocrossing, hurt egos.

Thank you for that article. I remember reading it way back when it came out, it was one of my favorite automotive articles ever, and my first real exposure to nitrous.

Cut the roof off of it, and then go mudding and bowling with 55-gallon drums.

Easily the most fun I've ever had in a car.

You didn't say what year Prism.... If it is 88-92, you could swap in a Corolla All-Trac drive system and give yourself a 4wd Prism

Not sure we can do that at the Mitty, but bring the right equipment and I'm sure we can find the time and situation at the Challenge. Heck, we'd even let you sell sponsorship. We may even buy some. At its core, the Challenge is all about being amazed by the ideas of our readers. The $200X thing is just a logical construct. If you have other ways to wow us, don't be shy.

Yeah, what year Prizm is it. What engine does it have? Toyotas generally do well with boost. Check out the Corolla from the most recent challenge. It was in last month's mag.

Well, if nothing else, you can get 10 or so buds around, toss $20 dollars into the pot and then brick the gass pedal with the car in neutral. The object of the game is to see who comes closest to guessing the demise of the engine.

This game is a lot more fun if the car in question belongs to someone who passed out during some sophomoric drinking game, but you get the idea...

i dont dream of doing crazy things to an existing car. I just want a t-56 a coyote 5.0 and a nice 9 inch pumpkin and i have 1000 + pages of blueprints for a car i wanna build.

Rallycross it (for about the 4th time in this thread).

Most rules only require a helmet and entry fee. I have watched a few cars die a noble death this way. Including a Isuzu that ended its days with the strut tower being held in the car with a ratchet strap!

Find a Chevette or a rear drive Mazda GLC, and weld up the rear gears. My old neighbor was the Islip and Riverhead speedway rollover champion and while preparing for an appearance on Wide World Of Sports said they were the two easiest cars to roll or keep on two wheels.

Ghetto suspension lift and cheap knobby tires and tear around the state land trails and seasonal hightways till it dies. No need for RallyX entry fee.

I actually wound up getting an offer of $725 for the car, which was just too much to pass up. So I sold it. But I love these ideas. I wish there were a Rallycross near me (eastern PA), that would be awesome.

The Philly SCCA region has been trying to get their rally cross program going this year. They actually have an event this weekend - at Dover speedway IIRC.
