didn't I see a video a year or so back where the course actually went through smbdy's living room? I believe it was in Chile also. Perhaps they changed the course?

Another part that amazed me was how huge the crowd was.
That, and the fact that my helmet didn't fall off...

Wow, awesome. That was to DH racing as Group-B was to rallying.

It's really not as crazy as I expected, looks like a good course but except for the dog it wasn't too bad. This one that Red Bull used to run in Minneapolis was pretty cool: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZqrN4fyI0s
It's completely indoors and goes through the buildings of downtown Minneapolis.
The Red Bull Metro Budapest (in the subway) is pretty sweet as well, this one actually scares me...flying down a 3 story escalator makes me nervous! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6OSBse3p6Q
You guys have probably seen the Gee Atherton Top Gear episode but here it is anyway!

The dog now reminds me of riding/racing at Plattekill, NY... riding the Ledges trail (off the Sunny-side lift) and coming around a corner at terminal velocity and being face-face with a deer. I still enjoy riding DH... racing... notsomuch... too much waiting around for one run... worse than auto-x... and wearing hotter clothing...

that wasn't that terribly long of a course to be quite honest. technical as all hell, with huge penalty for failure just about everywhere, but not that long. if you want technical/huge penalty for failure on a long course, check this one out: http://vimeo.com/5701809
