woo, just picked up a 2000 gs with 124k miles. Got an okay deal it was a real 10 footer but not bad. Now the question is what should I do for security? would a boot be cheap and good?

You really don't need any security if you keep your car stock looking. However once you tint it, slap on some shiny rims and/or lower the car. Then it's going to draw some attention. I've had my car for 7 years now and haven't had any problems. Though I do use what I call a passive security system. Meaning I've got steelies on it and the interior I purposely keep non smelly trash in(eg: empty mcdonalds cups, bags, extra clothes strewn about, etc). My thought being if a car thief looks in and sees trash everywhere, he's going to think my car is a POS.

hahah i wont be doing any mods like that or any mods for now just basic upkeep, but I will be staying in newark for 6 weeks.
I did buy an alpha lock (type of boot), but unfortunately I didnt do my homework. The lug nut lock I was originally going to get apparently doesn't fit on the integra. What size lug nuts does the integra have? On the site it says it'll only fit 17 and 19mm lugs (black top lock).
Are there any other types of lug nut locks that cover the lug instead of replacing it? I know that thieves can just hammer a socket wrench over the normal wheel locks.

I wouldn't use a boot. If your that paranoid, just pull the ecu or main relay...

is there any reason you wouldn't recommend a boot? the 2000 i believe already has an immobilizer but i want something to deter thieves and a club ain't going to cut it.
