Hey guys been lurking around the forum for a couple of years and just picked up a new ride so i figured id introduce myself as well.

I have a history of GRM like cars including: 92 Ford Taurus SHO 86 Pontiac Trans am 86 Porsche 944 90 Mazda Miata 90 Audi 80

Recently picked up my new dd after a 4 month search and selling off my remaining cars.

Its a 88 MX6 GT. Became interested in the vehicle from some of the talk on this forum and used some info from celica halftrac to produce a consumer reports months ago comparing it and a few others.

Anyways all things aside loving the mx after a week of driving, got 29mpg on my 75 mile a day commute and having a blast getting into boost and carving corners.

186k miles, pretty stock minus k&N drop in filter and K Sport coilovers (very nice). Car is super clean and picked it up well within challenge pricing.

Enough of that onto the goods

Thank you sir, engine bay is in need of a detail though. Maybe in the next couple weeks

One of us. ONE OF US. ONE OF US.

PS: Antval just uploaded a bunch of ROM chip files. So if you've got an EPROM burner (or buy one, they're cheap), you can now chip your ecu and not have to pay anyone else for a chip.

Link to your consumer report thingymajigger?

Noice. A buddy of mine had an MX-6 GT, only it was black, and in way worse shape than yours haha. Still silly fast for how cheap you can get them.

Yea i saw that on MX6 with the files, may look into that thanks.

Not looking for serious upgrades, at least not yet.

Hoping to clean it up further and perform maintnence then go from there. Maybe some autocross action.

Where are you located? I keep hearing stories about a ratty black one, and I keep wondering if it's the one I bought.

I'm so happy these cars are getting so much attention on this board lately. They deserve it.

I'm more intrigued that i spent years trying to get people to buy 90-93 Celicas, and nobody did.

Then i get an MX6, tell a couple people that it's somewhat cool, and look what happens?

Looks good for nearly 200k, might need to go for a ride in it friday when I get home.

I've never seen those wheels before.

Let me know man, im prob free.

The wheels are some kind of aftermarket brand ive never heard of. Look well made but im not a huge fan of the design.

Fortunately they have decent tread so i will likely keep them until spring time.

They are ksport, still have yet to identify the model. The ride is superb compared the miata on ricelands.

    I suppose that is expected.

    Thanks for the kind words.

They are picking up attention now that there are hardly any left. And how come all the nice ones are getting stumbled into by guys who are just now getting into them? I've been evangelizing for these things for 15 years. Why can't I find a nice one?
