Forgive me if I am not supposed to be bringing another car related website on this forum. Did something happen to Jalopnik website? It disappeared. www.jalopnik.com gives a weird result about some Tomcat thingy.

Looks fine to me. Has your browser been hijacked?

Download Firefox, Safari or Google Chrome
-
Go to Jalopnik and see problem is solved
-
Run a crapload of anti-malware software on your machine to clean the culprit out
- Never run IE again, and bask in your more capable, more secure browsery goodness

Download Firefox, Safari or Google Chrome

It works fine now....weird..before it was showing something about Apache Tomcat/5.5.23. And I am using Firefox. Man hopefully it's not my laptop that's in trouble. I am using my office network so it should be pretty secure but I'll run the anti-malware software anyway just in case. Thanks all.

Apache Tomcat is their server software. Sounds like they had a temporary hiccup on the server. Its not anything on your end.

They threw Murilee on weekend duty, therefore Jalopnik only works on my machines on the weekend. I don't think it is related.

Thats what you think. It works fine, if you don't know that there is anything better. Try Chrome (or firefox, or safari, or opera), and you will see the light.

the funny part about jalopnik is that it's pretty much the same format as fleshbot( REALLY NSFW). I wonder if the editors are moonlighting.

They're both owned by the same parent company, along with a bunch of other sites.

Yep, Gawker, Jezebel, Fleshbot, Jalopnik, Deadspin, Kotaku, I09, Gizmodo, and Lifehacker.
(Hint: look at the bottom of the page on Jalopnik and some of the other sites, they just don't advertise Fleshbot as much as the others to cut down on the accidental kid finding their way on the site.)

mtn. Thank you taking the time to show me how ignorant I am. The huge success of those products surely point to their high quality.
Two small notes I do use Safari on my Mac and you never know who you are taking to on a forum.

Yes, but have you been forced to upgrade to IE 8 yet?
Looks pretty, but man is it causing problems for me at work. The new version of their browser doesn't work with a lot of needed plugins and applications.
