My friend's 1993 Jeep Wrangler's cat is starting to rattle. Looking online, it looks like the converter is just secured with a muffler clamp at each end. That's it? No gasket? Anything else involved? It's a 4.0L 4x4 with a manual gearbox--all stock. And I'm assuming that a skinny person can shimmy underneath and do it, right?

i dont remember if the cat is under the center skid plate or not. This is what the direct replacement magnaflow looks like. Here is a video of someone doing it on a 93 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUZi_az0-sY

It looks like it is welded to the muffler.
