Surfing C-list pays off - just scored an 87 325is for $500 3 hours after it was listed. Still haven't seen it - no pics in the ad - but it's got the 4.10 LSD, BavAuto springs, short shifter and catback, supposed to be only limited rust on the driver's door. Dark gray with tan interior.
The bad: power steering rack leaked so the current owner pulled the pump and drained the rack 3 years ago - still has the pump and I intend to rebuild the rack this winter. Hesitates just off idle, current owner has looked without finding any vac leaks. Suggestions? Has a small oil leak when warm on the right side, oil cooler seals are said to be dry - any ideas? May need a thermostat per the ad, will talk to the owner more about that when I go test drive it. Tires are mismatched but supposed to be in good condition.
