What is your definition of "ricer mods", what will u be using the car for, and what is your budget?

    Stickers and body kits.

J/k. If he intends to track the car, I would highly recommend an upgrade to brakes first. BBK or find some Brembo's off another Track Model. I think my350z.com has an alright forum. Just have to wade through some of the crap, which is common for any forum.

What about going straight to the NISMO catalog?

How about a pod filter that replaces the factory cold air intake, and instead draws hot air from all around the engine bay?

my350z's tech section is pretty good. The wheels and tires section has lots of people interested in looks, though.

The Z uses a pretty common bolt pattern, in particular, it shares w/ Mustangs. 5x114.3mm aka 5x4.5" You might be able to score used Mustang wheels or used track 350z wheels that'll be a nice step up.

I went with aftermarket 18x9.5 wheels 275/35R18 (I think... definitely 275s) all around. It definitely feels like it's got more grip... (Thanks to an insurance fluke.)

Sport Compact Car did an article about doing 1G on street tires, and it went something like: 18x9.5 wheels 265 or 275mm tires, Hotchkis roll bars, & some sort of limited slip (don't remember which)

I think for the non-hr engines, there's some sort of intake manifold spacer that's good for a few hp, and I haven't found any good but cheap cat-back systems. They all seem to be $800-$1200. Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places.

It'd be nice, though, to have some grassroots-style tips on it, because I don't have anywhere near the $$$ that people on my350z seem to spend. Turbo/supercharger kits seem to run like $10k.
