if anyone knows in my car sliting i have a 95 subby legecy. i just sold it tongight to a younger guy that is a rear subby fan and a car guy tonight for $450 and then had to spend over an hour getting the thng to work right so he could drive it home. i think he showed up about 9pm or so and took it for a quick ride and then just as he was going to leave the brakes hung up and would not release. we spent the next hour or so breaking out the tools trying different things and it turned out to be a cable that needed to be adjusted and he got it ironed out to drive it home and made it home with no trouble. so know i have to go look for a new car........ the funny thing is this is the 2nd car i sold that has had ssues trying to sell it and it was acting like it didnt want to leave..had the same issue when i sold my rambler this summer and that issue was spending a couple of hours trying to get a battery to work to get it started and running...sigh....

Go find your next car, but tell it the relationship might only be short-term...
(what are you looking to get?)

Every time I sell a car or bike it invariably craps on the rug like that either when they buyer arrives for pickup or immediately before.
When I sold my KTM 950 a couple weeks ago, I rode it 15 miles each way to have the inspection done and it ran flawlessly. Gave me second thoughts about selling actually...2 hours later I went to ride it from in front of the house to the garage out back, and it won't light off. Cranks, catches a bit, doesn't start. I push it back and grumble about having to disassemble much of the bike to access the carbs that are buried inside the airbox under the tank and assorted body panels and plumbing.
The next morning I go to the garage and get ready to take it apart. Just on the off chance it's fixed itself I key it and push the button. Vroom.
Every bike, every car, every time. Huh.

My last Legacy wagon sold for $150. It seemed more than happy to leave with it's new owner to give up it's heart for a newer generation of Legacy with a spun main, but MAN I wasn't ready to let go.

Congrats on moving it along. Know the feeling though. Was ready to list the triumph daytona - took it out to just warm it up - dropped it in a parking lot -
snapped the brake lever off and cracked the right fairing - seriously close to it becoming a locost donor.
