was looking at Australian cars today. the Forte' Coupe' reminds of a Civic that went down under to Ford of Australia and given the Falcon high performance vehicle treatment

damn...09 wrx 10th in raw. I need to move to your region. I haven't cracked the top-70 in this evo/sti/z06/lotus-heavy region!!!

was it a bad-weather day? Looks like the wet-course cars took all the top places...

The rear of this thing looks like a Lancer GTS.

Yes it was solid rain all day long. So the results are a little crazy but still that Kia was damn fast. Although Steven Rankins was driving it so that was an advantage.

    hehehehehe.........

something MUCH better is in the works!

    Kee koup

Although the Kee concept was front-wheel-drive, Schreyer says he would back making a production version rear-wheel-drive.

We would have to aim to rival the Mazda MX-5 and Toyota’s new rear-driven coupe,” Schreyer continued. “The car would not need to be very fast or powerful, but it should be compact, affordable, and fun -- a true sports car.

    Here is my request:

Build a small, light, RWD, efficient coupe with a sub 2.0L engine and a six speed. Leave enough room in the engine bay to fit your companies big dog performance engine. Use a manual transmission with your 4 cylinder that uses similar mount points as the six speed attached to your big dog engine. Leave enough room in the underbody pan to run duals with an X-Pipe. Allow the vehicle enough room in the wheel wells to have an insane amount of rubber put under the car.

    I'd buy that.

^ Same Company. If the Kee Koup comes to market it will likely share a lot of it's mechanicals with the Genesis.

the rumor is the chassis will be shorter in the Kee Koup, then it is in the Genesis coupe. Kinda like the 1st AMXs were shorter then the near twin Javelin

I have pulled the trigger today, I put a deposit down on a Corsa Blue Koup SX with the 6 speed man. Should have it in a day or two. After the test drive I am convinced is the best bang for the buck!

Saw a "Short Takes" on the Koup in C&D....and while the Civic's dash is kind of........unusual? The Koup's, to me, looks ugly. The rest of the car? Civic or Koup? A toss-up.

BTW, the C&D tester preferred the SMALLER engined Koup.

Kia's are the best bang for the buck out there right now in several categories. Enjoy it and we can't wait for the pics and report.

Got approx 30 miles on the Koup, here's my first impressions

    Pros

Looks better in the Metal than in photos

Good power, but not a wrx, evo speed 3
    Stiff suspension, good turn in

Should be a good Autox ride

Cons Vague Cluch engagement Not sure if i like the fly by wire throttle

Overall The hands down the best enthusiast under 20g bang for the buck

I'll post further comments after a few more miles

Very nice! Let us know how you do when you take it out to its first auto-x event. You will auto-x it for us, right?

I really, REALLY like the way these look.

More and more, I think I'd like to own something like this. Some different wheels and just a slight drop and that would be a seriously good looking, fun, daily driver.
