so i picked up a 94 elantra that I can't seem to flip.
As usual that causes my mind to think motor swaps and top chops.
If I'm reading the webz right, I can swap in the 4g63 directly with little more than using the donor ecu.
edumacate me on the possibilities of this beater

I think you can only use the later 4g63s as the early ones are backwards...
the Beta is not a bad engine.. it can be boosted.. and the parts are out there to do it

up to 95 the Elantra is still 1G Mitsu based, motor is on drivers side1.8 = 4G67

Correct, first gen Elantra's are little more than differently shaped miustu's. 4G63 is a direct swap.
