Long story short, the tires that are on my my 1991 Isuzu Trooper were well past their prime when I bought the truck, and I finally ordered new tires to replace them.
I've got 5 General Grabber AT 2 tires on the way to my front door. I picked a fairly aggressive all terrain tire because I drive this truck to school every day, but still need a good amount of off-road ability. For example: I was in 3 feet of water (at the driver's door of the truck) last weekend pulling boats out of a mud-bottomed lake.
I went with General tires because my dad has been very happy with the set he has on his Ridgeline.
Now, the reason for making this post: I ordered bigger tires, and I don't think they will comfortably fit on my stock wheels. The stock wheels are 15x6, and I ordered 31x10.50 15 tires. I googled some, and I think a 15x8 inch wheel would be ideal, a 15x7 inch wheel would be okay, and a 15x6 inch wheel would be too narrow.
Will I actually be okay with 15x6 inch wheels? If not, where do I buy cheap 15x8 wheels? I don't care what they look like, nor do I care whether they are new or used.
It's a 6x5.5 bolt pattern, and I think I need 4" of backspacing.
